Neighbouring Languages Conference 2022

On 19 October 2022, the Neighbouring Languages Conference will take place at Rolduc Abbey in Kerkrade. A core event for the Interreg project EMRLingua!

The charming Rolduc Abbey in Kerkrade will host a very important event for EMRLingua: the Neighbouring Languages Conference 2022.

In three halls of the Abbey, the languages German, French and Dutch will be given a special platform. Not only will important speakers talk about the current state of neighbouring language teaching in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine, but above all the plaques and certificates will be presented to the invited teachers and directors of the newly certified Euregio (profile) schools during a festive ceremony. This award for the schools' efforts in the field of neighbouring language teaching will be a first highlight of the day. Next, the information table of the project partner StädteRegion Aachen will give you ample opportunity to network with possible partner schools from the Euregio. At the same time, the other present project partners will offer additional information to the visitors.

The second highlight, and main part of the afternoon, will undoubtedly be the launch of the Masterplan (see news item of 23.06) for teaching exchanges and training for the school year 2022-2023. Under the guidance of Liesbeth Martens from UCLL Leuven-Limburg, the first points will be initiated. Undecided people will also have the opportunity on that day to be convinced on the spot and possibly sign up for the Masterplan.
