The district of Heinsberg is Germany’s most westerly district and comprises ten towns and municipalities. Of the total 175.2 km length of the district boundary, 78.9 km borders on the Netherlands.
The district administration of Heinsberg, which is headed by district chief executive Stephan Pusch, is a project partner in the Interreg V-A project EMR Lingua. The project office is located in the Heinsberg district’s regional education office, which belongs to the Centre for Communal Education and Integration.
